Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, has said that the ongoing probe of power sector by the House of Representatives has revealed the rot in public service and how fund meant for provision of amenities are fraudulently spent.
The Most Reverend Kaigama, who made the declaration at the Chrism Mass held at Fatima Cathedral in Jos, Plateau State, said the revelations coming out of the probe was shocking.
”It reveals the reckless manner in which the money meant to improve social life was fraudlently spent,” he said.
He challenged Christians to lend a helping hand to fellow Nigerians and intensify prayers for God to raise leaders who will take the welfare of the people seriously.
“We must intensify our efforts in helping ourselves by doing the little we can for one another while we continue to pray that God will raise up for us worthy leaders who are responsive to the basic needs of the people.
“God will touch the hearts of such leaders to shun bribery and large scale corruption and use the available resources wisely to serve God’s people” he said.
