Yar’Adua appoints 7-man board member
for Aso TV/Radio

Umaru Yar’Adua
has approved the constitution of a seven-man Board of Directors for Aso Television/Radio Services in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The FCT Minister, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar, made this disclosure on Monday in his office.
Dr. Umar disclosed that the new board is expected to oversee the smooth take-off of an ultra modern state-of-the-art Aso Television and Radio stations.
He announced that the board members are:- Ambassador Yusufu Mamman, Chairman; Mr. Sunday Ibok, member; Mr. Diran Onifade, member; Mrs. Debrah Ogazuma, member; Alhaji Abdulkadir A. Tafida, member; General Manager (Aso Television), member; General Manager (Aso Radio), member
The Minister said the concept of Public-Private-Partnership would fully be at play in developing the television arm of the station, while the FCT Administration would as usual, provide an enabling environment as the Organized Private Sector will take a lead in the funding of the project.
The new Board will be inaugurated on Thursday, by Umar in Abuja.
