Tu face plans duet with R. Kelly, Chaka Demus and Pliers

AFRICAN music exponent, Tu Face Idibia will
later this year do a collaboration with Robert
Kelly, Chaka Demus and Pliers in separate albums.The Nigerian music ambassador and multiple awards winner, revealed this at the club side of Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, as he took time out to dine and interact with friends and the media.
The music icon who was accompanied by his manager, Wale Owoyemi was actually meeting the press for the first time after the attack on him last year.
At the dinner party, put together by international event management firm DoJoes, the celebrated artiste who was well received spoke about the Tuface Idibia Reach-Out Foundation, which he explained, is a vision born out of the need “to give back to my roots”.
He also spoke on his outfit, Hypertek Entertainment, which is into talents discovery and management among others. The arrangement, he noted, has not affected his relationship with Kennis Music, on which label he had done his previous albums.
However, Hypertek Entertainment has been at the background of Tuface Idibia’s musical success; putting together back-end logistics support to meet up with the profound success of the international award winning music star. He used the forum while answering questions from the media to hint of what to expect in the course of the year.
The name Tuface has for almost a decade become a household name in the West African region. From being a member of the famous Plantashun Boiz group to launching his solo career with the album “Face 2 Face”, he has gone on to become an icon in the African music industry and had even won a global musical award: MTV Award as Best African Artiste of the year.
While speaking further on his musical plans for the year, he explained that Nigerians will see more of him in the course of the year. This, he noted, necessitated his association with Do Joes, who was represented by its CEO, Femi Ogundipe.
The hip-hop sensation who explained that he is out to discover new talents in the country, said he believes there is actually a bright future for the Nigerian music industry. “I see a very strong entertainment industry in the next two years,” he said. He however complained about the high rate of piracy in the country, which he noted, is not helping the expected growth of the industry, and should be confronted with all seriousness.
While speaking on his organization’s romance with Tuface’s outfit, Hypertek Entertainment, Ogundipe declared that they are up to something big which would be unveiled in the next few months.
Meanwhile, Tu Face was criticized for appearing in Ghana colour during a recent visit to the West African country. The ace musician however took time to defend his total allegiance to Nigeria. According to him, “I am a true Nigerian, and the Ghana T-Shirt, actually symbolizes unity as a true African ambassador”.
