AS Christians celebrate Christmas
tomorrow, the Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has called on them to strive to emulate Christ in all they do.
Prince Oyinlola, in his Christmas message, said the birth of Christ was God’s gift of salvation and redemption to mankind.
The governor added that all true Christians should emulate the humility, sacrifice and the patience of Jesus Christ in all their undertakings.
“Christmas is a symbol of peace, of redemption and of salvation. It represents God’s undying love for mankind, an example of God’s profound love for humanity,” he said.
While asking Christians to regard the season as a period of renewal of faith and hope, the governor said every believer should rededicate himself to helping the needy and being his brother’s keeper at all times.
He said his government would continue to promote the welfare of all citizens and ensure the protection of their fundamental rights.
The governor wished all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance.
