Oceanic Bank donates 30 vehicles to Delta govt

Sunday donated 30 vehicles to the Delta State government as the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan formally declared open the bank’s midwest zonal office in Asaba, the state capital.
Explaining the rationale behind the donation, the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Dr. Cecilia Ibru, stated that the bank had a vision to create a formidable partnership with the state government to make the state a better place.
“It is in the light of this that we are today presenting 30 Hilux vehicles to the state government as the governor formally opens the branch today.
“This is our own contribution towards ensuring a safe and conducive environment in Delta State for all to be the best they can be,” she said.
Dr. Ibru stated that such initiatives were not new to Oceanic Bank which believed very much in the concept of public-private partnership (PPP), stressing that “it is also in line with our sense of corporate social responsibility to give back to the society where we operate.”
She reiterated the bank’s mission “to provide excellent and comprehensive service to customers in a friendly environment using qualified and experienced personnel with appropriate technology.”
Due to its record of high performance, the Oceanic Bank boss pointed out that the bank was highly rated locally and internationally and had won numerous accolades within and outside Nigeria .
The latest of such awards was the Bank of The Year ( Nigeria ) conferred on it by the Financial Times of London for two years running now (2006 and 2007).
