Lagos PDP faction petitions national exco on crisis

A faction in Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Honourable Kamal Olorunoje, has petitioned the national executive of the party to look into the crisis in the state chapter of the party.

According to a reliable source within the party , the faction decided to present its grievances before the National executive of the party with the belief that the exco would be fair in looking into the petition before it.

The source added that the aggrieved members were hopeful the national executive would look into the matter without bias, since Chief Olabode George, who had used his position to suppress all petitions brought before the national executive is out of office.

The source, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, said the aggrieved members were prepared to put in everything to ensure that justice was done, “because in the past Chief George had used his position to frustrate the aggrieved members.”

On whether the petition might make the aggrieved members drop the suit filed in court challenging the election of Honourable Setonji Koshoedo as the chairman of the party, he said “all depends how soon the national executive wades into the matter , and if it did not invite them in time the court might have ruled , because the ruling shall come up within first week and second week of April.”
