Pools/Billiard association invites 32

Niyi Alebiosu, Lagos - 23.07.2008

THIRTY-Two players have been invited by the Pool and Billard Association of Nigeria for trials ahead of the forthcoming Africa and World Championship slated for Swaziland between August, 14 and 23, 2008.

Scot Igbene, president of the association, made this disclosure at a medfia parley held at D Place, Ikeja G.R.A, to herald the trials scheduled to hold on Saturday, at Planet One.

Igbene informed that the association had held series of competitions before now across the state before arriving at the final 32 players out of which the best five would be selected to represent the country at the championship holding next month.

According to him, the idea behind the trials is to give each player equal opportunity so that there will be no room for favouritism and to enable the country to present the best players for the championship.
