NYSC Confirms Missing Certificates

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Headquarters in Abuja has confirmed the loss of some of its certificates.

The Deputy Director, Public Relations Department, Mrs Chynwe Ojukwu, made the announcement on Friday in Abuja.

Saturday Tribune on Monday had reported that some certificates of the NYSC were missing from the file of the Corps.

Ojukwu gave the serial numbers of the certificates as: A001195301-A001195500,001201917-A001201950, A001191651-A001191700 and A001215501-A001215700.

She said the NYSC Directorate had commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the missing certificates.

She advised employers of labour to scrutinise all NYSC certificates presented to them, to ascertain their genuineness before engaging any corps member.

Ojukwu also advised the Federal Civil Service Commission, state and local government agencies to scrutinise all NYSC certificates presented to them for employment purpose.
