JTF recovers five corpses, as police search for inspector’s killers

corpses of five out of the seven people killed by the gunmen along Nembe waterway in Nembe local government area of Bayelsa state. This is just as the police command is on the trail of a suspected militant group that invaded Sagbama Divisional Police station at the weekend.
Disclosing this to the Nigerian Tribune, the commander of the JTF, Lt Col. Chris Musa, said the search party put in place after the incident occurred on Saturday had been able to recover five corpses but declined to disclose their identities.
He said that it would be premature to disclose their identities, more so when the recovered corpses were yet to be received by the command.
Lt. Col. Musa who debunked the report that there was shoot out between his men and the suspected gunmen said security operatives were on the look out for the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
He said the search team was still on the sea, working tirelessly to recover the corpses of the remaining victims.
