I don’t want congratulatory adverts - New EFCC boss

The new acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri, has expressed her appreciation to various concerned Nigerians who have been expressing support for her since her appointment.

She, however, said as much as she appreciated such kind gesture, she would not like any congratulatory advertorial as seen in a national daily on Wednesday.

“I appreciate the support of kind hearted Nigerians who have been expressing their support for my appointment, but I will like to call for a stop to further attempts by any individual or group who might want to place paid congratulatory advertorials in the media,” she said.
