Aptech Launches UI Students Into IT Career

Students of the University of Ibadan have been enlightened in information and communication technology by a leading IT training school, Aptech Worldwide, Ibadan Centre.

Speaking at the IT workshop programme organised recently by Queen Elizabeth and Great Independence Halls of the institution, in collaboration with Aptech Worldwide, Ibadan Centre, the Director, Aptech Worldwide, West Central Africa, Dr. Sanjai Singh, described information technology as the backbone of the world.

He added that students and individuals without indepth knowledge of information technology may not be recognised in the labour market in the next 10 to 15 years.

The Technical Head, Software Technology Park Ltd., Mr. Ajay Tripathi, noted that 70 per cent of jobs in this present world demands IT. He then charged students to seek IT knowledge and build their career in it, to brighten their chances of employment, empowerment and enrichment.
