been urged to emulate the unequalled virtues of the First Republic politician, Chief Adegoke Adelabu, as he distinguished himself in academics and public service as well as offered selfless service to the teeming electorate while he was alive.
Giving this charge was the Oyo State Action Congress (AC) governorship candidate in the 2007 general election, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, in a press statement issued by him to commemmorate the 50th remembrance of the politician.
According to him, Adelabu was a politician who never took advantage of his elated office to engage in corrupt practices, a development which he said earned the late politician great respect and honour among his contemporaries and electorate during the First Republic and even long after his death.
