The groups which addressed a press conference at the Press Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday over the matter, condemned the Inspector General of Police whom they referred to as a confussionist and a lier.
One of the spokesperson, who is the Vice president of the council, Sheik AbdulRasheed Adiatu, condemned the ouburst of Okiro and challenged him to produce the sources of his statement that there was such plan in the offing.
Adiatu warned the police boss to desist from such a misleading and an untoward statement which could disintegrate and affect the peace of the country.
“How can he talk like that. The police know where the terrorist are and the muslim should not be referred to as terrorists. The militants are terrorists for kidnapping and killing people and the police should go there and stop tagging muslims as terrorists,”he said.
