Adebayor’s hairdo blamed for goal drought

EMMANUEL Adebayor's new barnet is being blamed for the Arsenal striker's goal drought.

Adebayor has not scored in the Premier League following the removal of his trademark braids last month.

Adebayor took the drastic action as he was fed up with his long dreads always getting in the way.

The Sun says he told pals: "They were getting on my nerves. I could only wash them once every three weeks."

But he insists he will rediscover his golden touch in front of goal soon and get Arsenal's title hopes back on track.

He added: "I don't feel I have lost form at all. If you watch our matches closely, you will see that, even when I don't score the goals, my contribution to the team is 100 per cent. "The most important thing is the team should win.

"I love scoring goals and I want the fans to know they will start flowing again soon to help the team win the competitions we are playing in.”
