Oyo bye-election: Five parties in coalition against PDP

THE coalition of political party met in
Ibadan on Friday in lieu of the coming bye election into Akinyele/Lagelu Federal constituency to give the ruling party what they termed a good fight.
The coalition of about six political parties including Alliance for Democracy (AD) Action Congress (AC), DPA, PPA, RPN and Action Alliance met at the Ring Road residence of Dr. Gbola Adetunji the protem chairman of the coalition.
At the meeting, it was harmoniously decided that two candidates, Mr. Debo Ogunniran representing the AD/DPA and Alhaji Bashiru Lanre Latinwo, representing the AC, were found to be suitable to fly the flag of the coalition in the upcoming election on the platform of the AC.
The Central Working Committee of the coalition, it was gathered had in attendance Dr. Adetunji, the AD gubernatorial candidate in the last election, Barrister Sharafudeen Ali, the Chief of Staff of former governor, Rashidi Ladoja, Alhaji Waheed Moboloaji Adeleke, former chairman Iseyin Local government and the representative of political party in the coalition.
