Marathon scheduled
for Saturday in Lagos. NIGERIA coach, Shuaibu Amodu is set to axe players who played below par in last week's international friendly against Jamaica.
Amodu said after the game that he was happy with the general performance of the team, but it appears the coach had reservations about a couple of players and is set to make his displeasure known when he unveils his squad to face Mozambique next month.
A top source close to the team told KickOffNigeria.com that the coach was unhappy about the performance of a minority of the players and would be wielding the big stick.
"Those who did not do well will be dropped from the team to make way for others.
"From now on, all the players have to show seriousness and play their best."
Amodu's squad for Mozambique is expected to be released next week.
