Yar’Adua, others in Yola over gov election

President Musa Yar’Adua, Vice-President, Dr. Jonathan Goodluck, three state governors as well as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, stormed Yola on Monday to flag off the PDP governorship campaign in Adamawa State.

The President charged the people of the state to vote for the PDP. He reminding them that Adamawa was the home of PDP and so they should all rally round and support the re-election of Admiral Murtala Nyako.

The President said anyone who has never been to Adamawa but who now came for the flag off ceremony would surely appreciate the people as being lovers of the PDP.

He assured them that all the executive of the party at the national level were solidly behind Adamawa State.

Prince Ogbulafor while addressing the rally thanked them for voting in the new national executive council of the party.

Prince Ogbulafor, who was apparently shocked by the large turn out of people, promised to communicate his findings to the national secretariat.

He described Admiral Nyako as an experienced person who has the pedigree to take the state to the promised land.

In his address, Governor Danjuma Goje of Gombe State said that PDP came as a family to rally support for one of them.

Governor Goje urged the people to ensure a total victory for Admiral Nyako on April 12.

Admiral Nyako while addressing the crowd thanked them for their support so far and urged them to come out fully and repeat the feat of 2007.
