Ultimate Commander takes title defence to Abia

Nigeria’s
heavyweight
wrestling champion, Osita Ofor (a.k.a Ultimate Commander) hopes to defend his World-Wide Wrestling Professional (WWP) Africa Heavyweight title in Abia State.
The reinging Africa champion, who won the title on June 16 last year in Johannesburg , South Africa against Tornado, will put his belt on the line when he takes on another opponent in Abia in April.
Commander, expressed delight in the Abia State government’s commitment to host the fight, saying he would leave no stone unturned to retain the title.
“The Abia State government has shown some promises to me in hosting the fight in the state. I’m pleased at the positive response I’m getting from my state and I cannot but thank the governor, Theodore Orji for this gesture and I hope this event will have a great impact on the lives of our youths,” he said.
According to the Nigerian wrestler, he is desirous to defend the title in Nigeria rather than any other country, adding that this will serve as a morale booster to other upcoming wrestlers in the state and Nigeria as a whole
“The organisers gave me the option of picking my choice of host country and I cannot leave my country to defend it elsewhere. Though, I won away, I want to defend it at home,” he declared.
Other foreign wrestlers gunning for the title include, Joe Legend of South Africa , Tornado who lost the title last year and Kilimanjaro amongst others.
