ZINEDINE Zidane is delighted to see former club, Real Madrid clinch back-to-back championships. The French great declared: “Real Madrid are rightful Liga champions. I called to congratulate them when they were named champions.

“When you have played for Real Madrid, they remain always in your heart and I am happy for my former teammates.” Meanwhile,Diego Maradona says selling Ronaldinho would be the greatest mistake in Barcelona’s history.

The former Barca star declared: “The right thing to do would be to help him recover (from his injuries). I don’t think Dinho needs to ask for forgiveness from anyone. In fact, it’s the opposite. There are leaders and people at the club who have a lot to be grateful to Ronaldinho.

“If they were to let him leave, it would be the most serious mistake in the history of the club, more serious than my departure and those of Romario and Ronaldo. Ronaldinho exceeds all.”
