New Olu Of Ilaro Emerges Soon - Regent

THE regent of Ilaro, Ogun State, High Chief Jas Abiodun Oyekan, has said that everything is in place to give the late Olu of Ilaro a befitting burial while expressing hope that a new Olu of Ilaro would emerge soon.

High Chief Oyekan while speaking with Saturday Tribune during the week at the palace during a meeting chaired by Chief Adebayo Adeyemo said the planning committee made up of 80 members were divided into several groups in order to cover much ground and make the occasion a success.

High Chief Oyekan said he further made it known that from May 19, 2008, the programme would kick off with an environmental sanitation exercise at Ile Ogboni Akala while on 20th May, there would be prayers and feasting at Oronna shrine.

There would also be prayer, feasting and egungun performance at Itolu, while Jumaat service and children feast would come up on Friday 23 May.
