The Gateway To Financial Fortune (2)
 In the early morning
of August 27, 1987,
I heard the Lord speak to me while I was on a mission trip to U.S.A, “Get thee back home and make my people rich.” It was so clear that I was on the next available flight back to Nigeria. I had to cancel every engagement that I had in America, because I heard that clear word from God.
The world is a living witness today that that mandate was not fake; it came from God and its effect shows in the lives of multitudes. God sent me to bring His people out of the pit of poverty so that they can be fulfilled in life. Last week, I taught on how redemption is a gateway to financial fortune.
This week, I will show you another gateway to financial fortune — God’s word. God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children, just as earthly fathers do when their children become successful. He takes pleasure in your prosperity. Financial fortune is a choice, not an allotment (Proverbs 2:2). When you refuse to choose what makes people rich, you head for poverty. So, supernatural abundance is a choice not a chance. The same way people are made rich by choice, that is how others are made poor.
God’s word says: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). Being prosperous has a process. When you refuse the process of blessings, you become a burden to others. You remain a liability! The poor ones will always be there because they refuse to engage the process for blessing (Deuteronomy 15:11).
One encounter with God’s word is much more than a lifetime of struggles and efforts. The Bible shows a graphic picture of a man called Peter, who was frustrated in his business. Peter was a professional fisherman. There was a night that he and his business partners toiled all through, fishing without results. They caught nothing!
When Jesus met him, He told him, “...Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” (Luke 5:4). Peter made some excuses that they had toiled all night and did not catch any fish. However, he obeyed as he was commanded by Jesus and they had net-breaking, boat-sinking order of blessings. They beckoned on their friends to come and help them because their boat was about sinking due to the multitude of fishes caught! They had a destiny turn-around by simply obeying the Word of God! (Luke 5:2-7). So, the Word of God is the window to His unspeakable blessings. By obeying the word, they enjoyed a strange order of blessings.
When you enagage the word of God, you do whatever He tells you to do. As you obey His words, you enjoy strange order of blessings, just as Peter did. Apart from obeying God’s word, you must trust in His word. Job 36:11-12 says: If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. If you obey and serve God’s word, you enjoy financial fortunes all your life (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
I have never called or visited any member of our church on the subject of needs. Never! Never! I have never looked like a needy! I am just enjoying the goodness of God upon my life. When you engage God’s ways, you begin to cause financial waves (Psalm 103:8). When you receive God’s word/law, you enjoy financial fortune (Job 22:21-25).
So, His word is the gateway to His blessings. It takes your obedience to qualify for His blessings. Also, it takes your disobedience to lose His blessings. His blessings cannot be reverted, so, wisdom demands that we obey His word to enjoy them.
Our Ministry is enjoying the irreversible blessings of God, by our consistent engagement of the terms of the covenant. Any outstanding encounter in God’s kingdom has its root in God’s Word. The Word you engage determines the quality of life you live. When you engage God’s comandments as a way of life, you enjoy His stress-free blessings (Psalm 113:1-3). So, His word is a gateway to financial fortune.
Friend, the power to obey God’s word is available, if you are God’s child. You become a child of God by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are ready for it, please say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Forgive me and cleanse me from every sin. I accept You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for saving me. Now, I know I am born again!
