Nothing bothers me - Obasanjo
16.03.2008
Former President
Olusegun Obasanjo
says he does not allow anything to weigh him down.
Fielding questions from newsmen after a mini-squash tournament held to mark his 71st birthday in Abeokuta on Saturday, Obasanjo said this philosophy had been responsible for his good health.
Obasanjo, dressed in a sports outfit, said that God had been ''very faithful'' to him.
''God has never disappointed me. I sleep well, exercise well and eat moderately. I do not allow anything to weigh down my mind. I thank God for creating me,'' he said.
The former president admonished others to do anything that their ''hands find doing with all your heart, mind, effort and commitment.
''We must encourage people no matter what they are doing.
''Work at it; if you cannot be the best, you will definitely achieve something.
