Dead bird found on Oyo ANPP’s counsel’s bag

A dead bird was on Tuesday found on top of the travelling bag of Mr. Adeniyi Akintola (SAN), the lead counsel for the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) governorship candidate in Oyo State, in his Adamasingba, Ibadan office.

Politicians were seen discussing the news of the mysterious bird at the venue of the sitting of the tribunal in Ibadan on Tuesday. The ANPP members insisted that no amount of charms could scare them from pursuing their matter to a logical conclusion at the tribunal.

Akintola, who spoke with journalists about the development in a telephone interview, said “my life has not been the same since I took up the ANPP governorship petition.

“This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened. During my last appearance before the election tribunal, it was a snake that was sent to the court premises, but I have left the place about two minutes before the arrival of the snake.

“The party supporters rallied round and killed the snake. I am washed in the blood of Jesus; no harm will befall me, I am not bothered.

“The strange bird was found dead on top of my travelling bag and was discovered by my office cleaner as she was about to enter the room and get it clean for the day’s work.”
