RT Briscoe pays N226.9m dividend - Pays 1:5 bonus shares

In line with its promise to shareholders, the management of RT Briscoe, even in the face of the economic meltdown, has paid a total dividend of N226.9 million, translating into 40 kobo per share.

The return on investment was approved by shareholders at its annual general meeting on Thursday.

The shareholders also approved the recommended issue of one new share for every five share held given by the company.

While commending the company on the payout and bonus issues, the National Coordinator, Independent Shareholders’ Association of Nigeria, Mr. Sunny Nwosu, said the company had to work on growing and improving its subsidiaries, while also ensuring that there was a reduction in its interest expenses.

Another shareholder, Mrs. Bisi Bakare, called on the company to work hard in ensuring that the company’s shares were attractive to investors.
