Plateau PDP gives Jang second term ticket

State was on Tuesday given automatic ticket to contest the 2011 governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by an enlarged meeting of elected and appointed officials of the party held at the party secretariat.
The state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Na’Allah Mutbam and his counterpart in the Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Nuhu Gagara, disclosed this to newsmen at the end of the meeting in Jos.
According to the commissioners, the governor was given the nod to go for second term as a result of his track record of achievements within his first two years in office.
Mutbam said the stakeholders at the meeting did not find it difficult in arriving at the decision because everyone at the meeting was convinced that the governor had performed very well.
