Association Counsels Nigerians On Money Contribution

THE Oyo State Contributors Collectors Association has advised members of the public to stop patronising quacks and unregistered collectors in order not to fall victim of fraudulent collectors.

At the Ibadan/Ibarapa zonal meeting of the association held on Friday at Ibadan, the chairman of the association, Chief Salaudeen Qumardeen, noted that many individuals and corporate bodies had run bankrupt because they patronised quack contribution.

He said the seminar was organised for members to enlighten them on the attitude of their job, their responsibilities to our members and the public at large and the legal implication of non-registered contribution, among others.”

He said a multi-million naira secretariat building project for the association located at Oje in Ibadan, which would serve as a meeting place for the contribution collectors in Ibadan, would soon be opened.

Representative of Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Gbenga Ayoade, stated in his speech that the organisation should go on with their duty while transparency, unity should be their watch words.

Representative of the gov and Commissioner for Commerce, Comrade S. Aboke, advised that there should be peace among the members.
