Kidnapped TASUED students union leader found

The abducted students’ union leader
of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Mr. Babatunde Ajetunmobi, was reportedly found on Thursday at Ilishan-Remo area of the state.
The institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Gbenga Omilola, told the Nigerian Tribune in an interview that Ajetunmobi re-appeared on Thursday morning at the campus and immediately made himself available to the school authorities and other members of the students’ union body.
Omilola said Ajetunmobi had since reported himself to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ijebu-Ode and the Police Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, over the incident.
He said the institution would hold a stakeholders’ forum on the incident on the campus today and that the school would re-open for academic activities on Monday.
The students union leader was reported kidnapped on Tuesday night on his way to Ijebu-Ode, after leaving the campus, based on information that people suspected to be cultists were after his life.
