3SC, Akwa Utd top NFL’s caution list - Uvieghara, Akwa Utd player most undisciplined

The Nigeria Profes sional Football League has declared the Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) as the most undisciplined club in the Division one B of the league.

Revealing this to sports writers in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of the league body, Alhassan Yamut said the Oluyole Warriors received a total of seven yellow cards within five weeks of the league. He said according to statistics that Gabos International of Nnewi and Eko United of Lagos are the most disciplined teams as they received only one yellow card each. In the National Division one A, Adamawa United of Yola is the most undisplined team as it received five yellow cards and one red card.

He declared Akwa United as the most undisciplined team in the Globacom Premier league with 14 yellow cards and two red cards, while Prime of Osogbo is rated as the best behaved team with two yellow cards. Akwa United’s Godwin Uvieghara who received three yellow cards and one red card is the most undisciplined player as at Week Ten of the league.

Alhassan who is popularly called the “armored tank” by his admirers frown at the standard of the league so far, saying that the win at home syndrome has become a sort of worry to the organisers “it is disheartening that we have recorded as much as 22 draws both home and away in the league so far, but we have not recorded an away win.” He promised that the appointment of secret match assessors would soon commence to give the league the needed neutrality.
