Utaka’s Portsmouth future in doubt

14.07.2008

SUPER Eagles striker, John Utaka’s future at Portsmouth is in doubt.

The Independent says Pompey’s pursuit of Chelsea winger, Shaun Wright-Phillips could lead to Utaka being put up for sale.

The former Rennes of France who arrived Porthsmouth last summer for a club record of £8m then is wanted by Stoke City and new Premiership side, Hull City, according to Independent, and could be put up for sale.

Though, Pompey’s manager, Harry Redknapp was said to be reluctant in letting the Nigerian striker leave.

Shaun Wright-Phillips is, however, understood to have favoured a move to Portsmouth after he was told he’s surplus to requirements at Chelsea.
