UBA, NTC launch visa processing
solution for Dubai travellers

Nigerians who
travel to Dubai
for business or pleasure are in for an exciting time as United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, launches Dubai Travels Service, a solution designed to ease the payment for visa fees and processing of visa application to the United Arab Emirate (UAE).
Dubai Travels Service, which was developed in partnership with the Nigerian Trade Centre (NTC), Dubai, an agent licensed by the Dubai Immigration Service for visa processing, is the first of its kind in Nigeria. The simplifies process enables intending travellers to process visa applications and makes visa fee payments in a few minutes without having to queue up at any Embassy.
Speaking at the press launch of the product at the bank’s Nigerian head office in Lagos, Group Managing Director, UBA Plc, Mr. Tony Elumelu, said the new product is the outcome of the bank’s commitment to provide world-class banking solutions to customers irrespective of their location.
“We are continuously exploring ways of delivering financial solutions in an easy and convenient manner to our customers and the public at large. This is yet another testimony of our commitment to innovation and excellence,” Mr. Elumelu said.
Explaining how the financial works, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, Divisional Head, International Banking, UBA said Dubai Travels Service (DTS), “is simple, secure, fast and convenient and lends itself to online processing from anywhere in the world, provided the customer has an Interswitch debit card or access to any of the bank’s over 700 branches nationwide.”
