A son of the late Mrs. Babaunke Ajasin, Mr. Tokunbo Ajasin, has ex-pressed shock over the death of his mother.

Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune in Ibadan on Thursday, Mr. Ajasin said the news of the death was unbelievable because the 94-year-old woman was still agile.

“It is not easy to lose somebody like my mother who was still agile and very strong,” he said.

He said his late mother still cracked jokes with her children and grandchildren, saying that the woman would be missed for her wisdom and advice.

Mr. Ajasin said a family meeting on the burial arrangements had been slated for this weekend at Owo, Ondo State.

Mrs. Ajasin died in the early hours of Tuesday at the residence of her older son, Adesola, in Magodo, Lagos State.

Meanwhile, Deaconess Adetutu Adefarati, wife of a former governor of Ondo State, late Chief Adebayo Adefarati, has described Mrs. Ajasin as a virtuous woman who led a meaningful life.

Deaconess Adefarati spoke at her residence in Akungba Akoko, in Ondo State, on Wednesday.

She said the deceased was a woman who supported her husband through the thick and thin of governance.
