Gunmen kill FCE, Okene lecturer

A lecturer at the Federal College of
Education, Okene, Mr Dele Ohikeile, was on Tuesday shot dead by unknownpeople.
According to an eyewitness, the lecturer was said to have been traced to his office on the campus and was attacked after evening games, around 7.00pm.
The motive for the killing could not be immediately acertained, but a someone said his killing might not be unconnected with politics, pointing out that the deceased was the president of Ezeogwu youth wing in Ebiraland.
The deceased, according to the source was a lecturer at the Physical and Health Education department of the institution .
Confirming the report, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Onum Inalegwu, said that police were on the trail of the killers but that only scanty information had been gathered about the incident.
Just last weekend, an Accountant, one Mr Adeyemi, with Bini Prono Construction Company, was killed when hoodlums attacked De Villa Hotel in Okene and destroyed property worth millions of naira.
