Sexcapade in Poly Ibadan - Lecturer caught in the act with a whore in office

It is still a mystery that is yet to be unravelled
Why did a Lecturer in the Geology De
partment of The Polytechnic, Ibadan,(names witheld), will decide to neglect the serene and cosy hospitality concerns spread across the nooks and crannies of the city for his rusty office, to let off steam with a prostitute last week Thursday.
The sexual misconduct, which took place at about 4pm on this fateful day, according to Sunday Tribune source, was an anti- climax of the numerous illicit affairs that have come to be known as the trademark of the randy lecturer who is said to be in his late 50s
Sunday Tribune gathered that the randy lecturer had arrived his office located beside that of his Head of Department(HOD), where he went into a session of marathon fun with the commercial sex worker. Luck however ran out on the lecturer, when passers by got wind of what was going on inside his office.
The office of the Rector was said to have been informed immediately of the unholy act, and an aide to the Rector was said to have been drafted to the area. It was also gathered that the HOD was one of the first callers to the scene of the sexcapade. Infact, information had it that the lecturer was caught in the act by the duo and they were said to have written separate reports on the ugly incident to the office of the Rector. Polytechnic sources informed Sunday Tribune that the security report submitted by the Security Department of the institution and that submitted by the PA to the Rector indicted the lecturer.
Sources told Sunday Tribune that but for the refusal of the lecturer to settle the prostitute on the amount earlier agreed on , the act would have gone un noticed by passersby, but the arguments which ensued sold the lecturer out to the passersby.
The ‘couple’ were said to have been taken with their undies in their hands to the Security Unit of the institution for official documentation. Speaking with Sunday tribune, the CSO,confirmed the development but denied that he was in custody of their undies.
When Sunday Tribune got to the institution and met with the HOD of the embattled lecturer, initially, he proved a hard nut to crack as he rebuffed all entreaties by Sunday Tribune to have the lecturer defend himself. The randy lecturer was sighted inside his office, but the HOD told this paper that the lecturer would report for duty in about two hours time, and this was at about 10:30 am. Why the HOD decided to shield the lecturer from defending the allegations against him and the claim that he was not around could however not be ascertained, rather the HOD was more concerned about how this paper got to know the lecturer in question was in his office.
The decision of Sunday Tribune to enquire from other lecturers in the department on the development since the HOD was being economical with the truth was seriously rebuffed by the HOD, who immediately ordered the arrest of our reporter by a security officer attached to the department. At the Security Office, our reporter was subjected to intimidation and harassment by a combination of the HOD and the Chief Security Officer, with the HOD saying to the CSO that our reporter ” claimed to be a journalist, he claimed to be working for Tribune”. The aim of the HOD, according to security source, was to ensure that our reporter was dealt with by the security officer “for having over stepped his bounds in the matter.” Before the ‘arraignment’ of our reporter at the Security Office, the following discussions took place with the HOD inside his office.Excerpts:
I am investigating a story which involves a lecturer in this department on alleged sexual misconduct inside his office
It wasn’t okay, anyway. The man you are talking about sent for the securitymen, when there was a misunderstanding inside his office between someboby from outside. She is never a student of this institution. From all indications, she is a prostitute. One might probably not know, because she was holding a key of a car which she doesn’t have. He met the girl outside the campus, the girl demanded to know his office and they came down to his office. I guess that they had a talk which led to disagreement between them, as rightly stated by the girl that the man said they should go to old Ife road, which is outside the campus, but she declined that it was a far place and that they should do whatever they wanted to do inside the office. In any case, the man actually requested for the security, which I assisted him to organise for them to solve the problem. They were both taken to the Security Office where the whole thing was sorted out. At the office she was requested to write a statement but she declined. It was also discovered that she had nothing on her like money or something. We just told the girl to leave. I think this interview should have been conducted with the institution’s PRO or the CSO and not me .I don’t know why I obliged you.
How about the allegation that the undies of the lady and that of the lecturer have been deposited at the security post?
I think it is better you confirm that with the CSO. I doubt it very much if you’ll get something like that. Go there to confirm because I did not see something as such, any way.
I will like to have a chat with the lecturer in question.
We will have to programme you towards that. There has to be a written permission from his employer before he can speak to you. Will you also see the girl? You can come for him by 2pm. If you hear from him and he denies it, will you also write that he said no?. I think he should be here by 12 noon.Or you can come back in the next one hour.
How about the allegation that the lecturer had also been harassing female students on the campus?
I can say that that is not true. No student has ever reported him to the department. If that should happen the Rector will not spare such a person. He is very conscious of the academic excellence of the institution. This could be the handiwork of some students who were expelled from the department.
But Sunday Tribune reliably gathered from security sources in the institution that attempts were being made by some lecturers to sweep the matter under the carpet but the CSO and the Rector were said to have rebuffed such moves. It was learnt that The Rector , Dr JacobAdemola Adejumobi, has vowed to go full trottle on the matter so that the image of the institution which was fast picking up would not be destroyed.
When contacted on the issues, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Adewole Soladoye said”we have not been briefed on this matter. There are procedures for such. It is the duty of the security department to report the matter before investigation would be instituted. If at the end of the day the alleagtions are found to be true, the insitution will allow the law to take its course. There are rules and regulations guiding the behaviour of people on the campus. The management will not hesitate to take the appropriate action against any erring staff or student as the case may be.It would be very sad if the lady were to be a student, because lecturers are supposed to be surrogate parents to the students irrespective of sex.”
