...He ‘ll spend the rest of his life in jail - Prophet

PRESIDENT and Founder of Christ Deliverance Ministry (CDM), Lagos, His Lordship, Prophet Ekong James Ituen, has predicted that former president Olusegun Obasanjo would spend the rest of his life in jail.

Prophet Ekong, who predicted the fallout between Generals Abacha and Diya, late MKO Abiola’s political problem and death, the demise of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the Sudan and Kenyan crises, stated this in an exlusive interview with Sunday Tribune.

According to the renowned cleric, “the worst thing that has happened to this country was for Obasanjo to become the president of this country. For eight years, he destroyed what he met on ground and sold nearly everything to himself and his friends”.

He stated that, “this was a man who had the chance, on a platter of gold to leave indelible marks on the sands of times, but through sheer carelessness and obscene immodesty, he threw the opportunity away, adding that ; In 1999, before he took over, God told me and I predicted that he was not the messiah and that he will go back to jail the second time before he dies.

“In my revelation and from what I have seen, certainly Obasanjo will go back to jail. Spiritually, he is on his way to jail ,sooner or later, Obasanjo will be probed and prosecuted in the law court. He will answer many questions on how he dribbled Nigerians for eight years”, he stressed.

Some of our leaders, the seer said, should be blamed for the woes of this country because they had every opportunity to caution and rebuke him of the evil and illegalities, but they didn’t. I was castigated and frightened when I cautioned and cirticised Obasanjo’s illegalities. I have been vindicated”.

He noted that, “the incumbent president, Alhaji Umar Yar’Adua, has surpassed what Obasanjo did in eight years. At least, he has been able to upturn some of the illegalities Obasanjo put in place. He has instituted Due Process and real practice of Rule of Law, and our judiciary is now reliable”.

According to the cleric, “I am convinced he is on the path of reconstruction and transformation of this country, but let him untie himself from the appron strings that Obasanjo put on him by terminating the appointment of all former aides of Obasanjo, who are still working with him”.

He stated further that, “I disagree in totality with those who hold opinion that Yar’Adua is slow. They should know that he inherited lots of problems and illegalities from his predecessor, like the energy sector problem, the Niger Delta crisis and the faulty privitisation. These are some of the things that are slowing him down”.
