shareholders’ fund hit $2.3bn

International Plc, Dr. (Mrs.) Cecilia Ibru, has assured that the bank would consolidate its leadership position in the banking industry in the next five months when its shareholders’ fund will hit $2.3 billion and increase its branch network to 1,000 by 2010.
Speaking at the weekend at 2008 bank’s day at the Lagos Business School/Pan African University, Ibru said the bank was re-writing its strategy in line with a vision of sector dominance.
According to her, the bank will attain shareholders’ funds of over $2.3 billion by September 30; expand its reach so as to have the global competitive advantages.
While assuring that the bank would not relent in its policy of customer satisfaction by providing a wide range of relevant customer products, she said the bank would also continue to be a delight to its shareholders through bumper returns on their investments.
