Okiro redeploys 16 AIGs

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mike Okiro, on Tuesday in Abuja redeployed 16 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs). A statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Agerebi Akpoebi, said the postings took immediate effect.

Those affected by the new posting included AIG Yusuf Haruna, who was moved from Zone 12, Bauchi to Abuja as Force Secretary, AIG Gasali Lawal from NIPSS to zone 4 Makurdi.

Also, AIG Israel Ajao was moved from Zone 2, Lagos to become AIG Intelligence, and AIG Declan Uzoma, who was re-deployed from NIPSS to become AIG Zone 3, Yola.

Others are AIG Tunji Alapini from Staff College, Jos to AIG Zone 8 Lokoja, AIG Olusegun Efuntayo from Force Secretary to AIG Zone 9 Umuahia.

Also, AIG Emmanuel Anuniru was moved from Commandant Police Academy, Kano, to Zone, 11 Osogbo. AIG Azubuko Udah was reployed from Zone 5, Benin, to Zone 6, Calabar while AIG Hafiz Ringin moved from NIPSS to become the Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos.

Also affected by the exercise were AIG Udom Ekpoudom, from Oyo to Zone 5 Benin, CP Muktar Abbas from NIPSS to Commandant Police Academy Kano.

Also involved were CP Mohammed Abubakar who was moved as CP Lagos to act as AIG Zone 2 Lagos and CP Ibrahim Machi also moved as CP Training ‘E’ Department Force headquarters, Abuja to act as AIG, Zone 12 Bauchi.
