Gov Idris returns from foreign trip

GOVERNOR Ibrahim Idris of Kogi has returned from his two-week trip abroad, his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Richard Elesho, said in a statement on Saturday.
The statement said that Idris had to take his annual leave shortly after winning the re-run election in March.
It said that the governor was expected to resume duty on Monday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the governor had dissolved the state Executive Council after taking his oath of office.
The boards of parastatal agencies andthe governing councils of institutions in the state were also dissolved.
While abroad, parts of his official residence in Lokoja, were gutted by fire due to electrical fault.
The statement said the state government had commenced investigation into the cause of the incident.
