NDLEA arrests accountant, 4 others for drug trafficking

Agency (NDLEA) has arrested an accountant and four others at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos for drug trafficking.
The accountant, Emmanuel Emeseh, and the four others; – Gillis Kute, Dorris Eniye, Jeffery Obianika and Kelvin Ojigbo, were arrested while trying to smuggle substances believed to be cocaine out of the country.
Emmanuel, 31, was on his way to Italy when he was arrested and subsequently tested positive for cocaine in the course of investigations.
A statement from the Public Relations Officer of the agency, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said the suspect ingested 71 wraps, weighing 1.07 kilogrammes of the substance.
Emmanuel who claims to hold a Higher National Diploma, in Accounting from a federal polytechnic travelled, to Reggo Emilli in Italy in 2004 and was working in a factory before his arrest.
“I came home to see my wife that put to bed when a friend persuaded me into taking the drugs for 1,500 Euro,” he said.
