Labod Hotel, Bodija has given birth to another
contemporary event centre, offering unique
value added services to customers.
Located at Jericho hills, Aleshinloye, the newest event centre in Ibadan, Labod Civic Centre, has gone extra mile to add flavour to the numbers of conventional event centres springing up in Ibadan.
Labod Civic Centre is designed exclusively to cater for all manner of events, with three delectable halls, which can be designed and adjusted to fit any occasion in terms of choice, space and audience.
The main hall, christened Subulade, at the basement with 1500-seating capacity also has a suspended gallery and a platform to fit the specification of any event. However, speaking passionately about giving customers value for their money, in a chat with TTH, the CEO, Labod Civic Centre, Mr. Labode Thomas Taiwo said that Ibadan was changing from what it used to be. “In a way, it is structuring rapidly to rank with the hospitality trend in Lagos. Company Limited’s commitment to transform and reposition Lagos Airport Hotel Limited, Ikeja, took a giant leap recently in far away Lausanne, Switzerland when the Nigerian team led by Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi signed the management and technical service agreements with the international hotel chain, Golden Tulip, for business developments partnership and branding of Lagos Airport Hotel limited.
Chairman of Odu’a Group, Prince Julius Adelusi -Adeluyi, led the high ‘profile team including Group Managing Director, Mr. A. K. Jimoh and Messrs Bola Jaiyeola, Kayode Adenigba, acting Managing Director of Lagos Airport Hotel to append signatures at a plenary business roundtable that took place at the World Trade Centre office complex of the Golden Tulip Hospitality Group.
Prince Adeluyi while speaking on the trade pact, reiterated the commitment of Odu’a Group to make its hotel chain perform optimally while also adding great value to its operations through innovation and profitability.
He stated that he was delighted that the much-awaited Golden Tulip Lagos Airport Hotel agreement has become a reality through the signing of the agreement which will boost the management and technical operations of the hotel with outstanding world class hospitality resources and technical competence by management and staff.

Usi Day celebration now August 16

and bond rejuvenation christened Usi Day Celebration which usually comes up on the first Saturday of August every year in Usi Ekiti, Ido Osi Local Government, Ekiti State has been shifted to Saturday, 16 August, 2008.
In a release made available to the media by Chief Debo Ayorinde, the President of the host club, Usi Dynamic Club, the postponement was due to “an unforeseen circumstance.”
Chief Ayorinde noted that August 2, which should have been the day for the celebrations coincided with the local government election in Ekiti State.“It is only reasonable and wise that we shift the day of celebration, despite the fact that we have to undergo the strain of re-ordering every programme for the event.”
Chief Ayorinde reiterated that, “this year’s Usi Day is not just ordinary, it is a carnival of purpose, a carnival of genuine re-union and a carnival of fun, entertainment and thrills that has not been witnessed, acted or designed to accompany a 'day celebration' in Yoruba land.”
He pointed out that Usi was the first town in Nigeria to initiate 'day celebration', “Hence we have to continue keeping the pace, setting the standards and showing how to work in unity, sow harmony and cement relationships with such a celebration.” |
