Eaglets coaches hit Ibadan today

THE technical
crew of Nigeria’s
U-17 national team, Golden Eaglets, are due in Ibadan today for a screening exercise, tagged Soccer Classics.
Alphonsus Dike and his assistants, Manu Garba, Yisa Sofoluwe and Dahiru Sadi, are expected to conduct the screening exercise for youths from the South West, who are within the age limit.
The event is being put in place by the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to help the coaches in discovering quality players for the new Eaglets squad.
According to NFA technical committee chairman, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, lots of young footballers are expected to converge on the Liberty Stadium, venue of the screening exercise which will hold on Saturday and Sunday.
“We are expecting players from Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos States to storm the Liberty Stadium for the screening exercise,” Chief Ogunjobi stated.
He also added that the exercise was free and open to all eligible footballers, warning parents not to give out any amount of money to anybody, saying that, “it is an open invitation without payment of any money.”
