Ogun earnmarks N2.5bn to construct new secretariat complex

A sum of N2.5 bil lion has been ear marked by the Ogun State government for the construction of a new secretariat complex at Oke-Imosan in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The Commissioner for Special Duties, Chief Kola Sorinola, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the new secretariat would comprise of three office blocks to accommodate all categories of officers.
He said upon completion, all ministries and government agencies operating outside Oke-Imosan office complex would be accommodated for easy and effective coordination of government activities.
The commissioner said N1.25 billion had been paid to the contractor handling the project and that further payment would be made as work progresses.
