Addressing a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, the company, unveiling the logo of the projects– Nigeria’s Ultimate Model and Next Top Recording Artiste enjoined Nigerian youths to embrace the gesture by logging into its website on www.industryexposure.com for registration procedures.

“We are here for real, we have a lot of talents in Nigeria and we want to help discover them and expose them to the world.“The winner stands a chance of winning $100,000, a trip to US and a recording contract with a reputable recording company in the US, said Prince Kunle Sijuwade, one of the directors in the company.

Who wins Star Quest?

Who wins Star Quest 2008?This question would be answered at midnight on Saturday, May 10 as this year’s edition of Star Quest, the music talent hunt reality television show sponsored by Star lager draws to a close.

The bands in contention are Da-Heritage band, B-Six, Spectrum, Diamonds, Next and Expozee. Three of these bands are expected to be eliminated on Wednesday night, while the remaining three would proceed to Saturday’s final with one of them with the highest number of votes by viewers is expected to go home with the winning prize of N2.1m cash, N5m recording deal, a mini Van, one year guaranteed accommodation in Lagos, as well as appearances in the 2008 edition of Star Trek and Star Mega.

The winning band would succeed Dâ Jewels band who won the competition last year.Saturday’s ceremony at EXPO Hall would bring to a close the three week old competition which began showing on National television and other selected networks on April 20th.It would also signal the climax of the exciting show of individual and group talents as exhibited by all the bands during their stay in Star Fame Land. The final show would provide one last opportunity for fans of these bands to vote them as favourites to win the trophy since the winning band would only result from public voting.

The thirty six music talents which entered star fame land on April 12 and formed six distinct bands made up of individuals with different musical skills have given a good account of themselves with their performances as shown on television. The bands created and produced their own original music on which basis they are being evaluated by the viewing public. They contested against each other just last Wednesday night with three of the bands being eliminated in the first elimination round while the three remaining bands moved on to today’s national final.

The winning band will again be decided 100 per cent by live public voting via SMS. So which band would emerge victorious? Only one of them would fit the bill.
