We Will Be Open In Our Mission - Justice Eso

Bolaji Ogundele, Port Harcourt - 09.02.2008

The Rivers State Truth and Reconciliation Commission says there is no hiding place for prominent Rivers citizens whose name would be mentioned in any wrong doing in the course of its assignment as everything would be laid bare to the public glare.

This was disclosed yesterday by the Chairman of the commission, Justice Kayode Eso(Rtd.), during a press conference held by the commission in Port Harcourt.

The eminent jurist noted that the commission had received 108 memoranda so far, which had been studied and have prompted writing to some prominent members of society and oil companies.

Justice Eso, who was responding to a question, said he would not be afraid of stating the truth, especially as his assignment in Rivers State is to expose the truth.
