Ataoja thanks Tribune for debunking rumour

THE Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Iyiola Oyewale Matanmi, has lauded the management of the African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of the Tribune titles for disclosing, the real position of his health.

The monarch, who said he was currently in London on holiday, said that he had received several telephone calls over a story published in the Saturday Tribune entitled I am hale and hearty– Ataoja.

In a press statement signed by Alhaji Lekan Yusuff and made available to the Nigerian Tribune, on Sunday Oba Matanmi thanked God for blessing him with good health and assured that he would soon return home.

The wife of the monarch, Bola, who was with him in London, confirmed that the Nigerian Tribune contacted the monarch on Saturday.

“We thank the management of the Tribune titles for stating the true position that Baba is enjoying good health here in London,” she said.
