Idris vows to drag Audu to court over perjury

The legal tussle between the former governor of Kogi State, Prince Ababakar Audu, and the incumbent, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, may continue as the latter has vowed to drag the former to court over what he described as “perjury.

Governor Idris, speaking through his Consultant on Public Communication and Strategy, Mr Phrank Shaibu, stated that the legal battle between the two was yet to end as the governor was ready to institute a case of perjury against his predecessor.

This, according to him, was coming against the ground the former governor included in his petition at the state election petition tribunal, where he alleged that the governor was not qualified to contest because of case of forged certificate against him.

Shaibu stated that aside from the fact that Alhaji Idris had his ‘O’ Level certificate, he also has a degree in Law from the University in Abuja.

He alleged that it was the former governor who did not possess any higher certificate which he claimed he had in his form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
