Oyo gov’s wife disburses N.9m loan to 6 cooperative societies

State governor,
and founder and president of Community Link Advancement Programme (CLAP), Chief (Mrs.) Oluwakemi Alao Akala, on Wednesday distributed a loan of N900,000 to six cooperative societies in Iwajowa Local Government Area, in Iwere-Ile.
Speaking at the occasion, Mrs Alao-Akala said the loan was not only to improve the general well-being of the women but also to fulfil her project’s mission to improve lives of many people in the state through different poverty alleviation programmes.
According to her, the women and the children constitute a fairly high percentage of the society and this had been the reason the CLAP was taking much interest in them.
The beneficiaries are Arable Women Farmers, Cooperative society, Vegetable and Cereal Women Farmers Cooperative Society and Food Processors Women Farmers Cooperative Society.
Others are Cash Crops and Tobacco Women Farmers Cooperative Society, Animal Husbandry Women Farmers Cooperative Society and Millers and food Vendors Women Farmers Cooperative Society.
Chief (Mrs) Alao-Akala enjoined the people of IwereIle to cooperate and support the present administration so as to enjoy the best from the government.
