Yar’Adua approves establishment of free trade zone in Ogun

PRESIDENT Umar Yar’ Adua has approved the establishment of the Ogun /Guangdong Free Trade Zone in Igbesa, Ogun State to be embarked upon by the Daniel-led administration in the state.

This was contained in a letter written by the President to Governor Gbenga Daniel, through the Managing Director of Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority,Mr Sina Agboluaje, the Federal Government gave the approval in line with the relevant sections of the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Act.

A release made available to the Nigerian Tribune and signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State governor on Economic Matters, Mr.Gbenro Adebanjo,said that the same letter of approval was sent to the Chairman of the Guangdong Xinguang African Investment Group, which is partnering with the state Government in the development of the FTZ.
