G'ENNIE set for Talent Hunt

The management
team of
G’ENNIE Leisure has concluded arrangements with a bank on the sale of application forms to prospective music stars for its Talent Hunt scheduled for July this year, just as it’s still holding talks with another bank for same purpose.
In a release made available to RMT, and signed by Mr. Jibola Taiwo, the need to reach many interested stars-to-be informed the decision to go into talks with another bank.
According to him, it has been noted that hundreds of applications come from “far and wide,” for such events, “so it is important that we reach as many interested participants as possible.
“For us, financial organisations are our options because they have the reach.Moreso that a lot of these banks have started to support the entertainment industry in recent times,” he said.
He informed that the outfit will start selling application forms from Friday, May 2 till July, 4, 2008, at either one or thetwo banks, depending on the agreement G’ENNIE Leisure is able to reach with the other bank.
He also informed that submitted forms will be processed same July, when they hope to invite successful applicants for auditioning immediately after the excercise.
“It’s not likely to take us more than 3 weeks to sort out the forms, provided they are filled according to instructions.”
Meanwhile, visitors to the Ketu, Lagos and Joyce B, Ring Road, Ibadan, offices of the entertainment company have to wait till the forms are out as the company is yet to begin sales of forms. “We know a lot of interested participants out there are eager to be part of the talent hunt, we haven’t concluded all arrangements as we are taking our time to ensure a perfect event.
“Again, what we are looking for are those who love music, not money. If it’s because of the money that people will want to partake in our talent hunt, we might as well not go ahead as such a motive will not help the career of the individual,neither the industry.
“We are only looking for those who believe that their talents in reggae, gospel, hip-hop or R&B genres of music will eventually bring them fame and for tune,” he added.
