car and mountain resortYou can reach Obudu Mountain Resort by road or by air. The primary airport is Bebi Airstrip, only a 45km drive to the resort. The nearest international airports are at Calabar, some six hours drive away and port Harcourt. You can also get to Obudu from Enugu via Abakaliki and Ogoja, or through Gboko and Vandeikya in Benue.
The resort, which is 24 square kilometres in size has capitalised on its altitude to provide guests with the best view points and fresh, invigorating mountain air. A short walk takes you to the spectacular grotto. This natural swimming pool with sparkling pure water provides a clear view of the long winding waterfall. Green mountain ranges surround the natural reserve that is home to rare species of birds and other animals such as the gorilla and drill. Oyo discovers four new tourists' sites- Obo waterfall in Iganna-Old city on the hill in Ijio-Olofin pre-historic cave in Komu-Okoo Wall City in Igbojaiye

Gov. Alao-AkalaTHE tourism assets and property of Oyo State have been buoyed by the discovery of four new unique tourism sites in Iganna, Ijio, Komu and Igbojaiye towns in the state.
The Chairman, Oyo State Tourism Board, Chief Adebayo Raji, who made known this discovery, said that “it was a discovery which came at the nick of time.”
Raji revealed that, “these wonderful tourism sites were buried in their locations and considered as waste because of the failure of the past administrations to embrace and consider the economic import of tourism to the state.
He pointed out that “the discovery of these new sites was initiated and propelled by the vision of Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, which targets the enhancement of all tourism and cultural resources for the benefit of the people of the state.
Otunba Raji also informed that “Governor Akala gave us a marching order to identify the tourist potentialities of each local government for proper enhancement and development. And to God be the glory, we have been able to discover wonderful tourism sites which had been hidden inside the bush for so many years.”
The Chairman, Oyo State Tourism Board revealed that sites are, “an alluring waterfall called Obo whose water cascades rapidly from a hill in Iganna. We also discovered an old settlement city of the people of Ijio on a hill with its antiquities, objects, market square, kings palace, monuments etc. At Komu, we discovered a cave called Olofin cave, capable of harbouring over 200 people conveniently, with evidences of past dwellers and lastly, at Igbojaiye, we have located a city wall which is very thick and capable of hosting two cars at once.”
Otunba Raji disclosed that, these discoveries have been communicated to Governor Alao Akala who was not only elated but “has promptly directed the commencement of proper enhancement of the sites for tourism and economic purposes.”
Otunba Raji pointed out that the chairmen of the local governments where the discoveries were made had all agreed to partner with the state government on the development of the sites.
“It is also a thing of joy that the chairmen of the local governments where the discoveries were made have made known their intentions to partner with the state government to give the sites a befitting enhancement.”
Otunba Raji informed that “luckily, we have inaugurated the Tourism Committees in all the local governments where the new sites were discovered and these communities have been mobilized and sensitized to work according to the charter of the edict which set them up and the tourism policy of the federal government.
