By Wale Ojo Lanre

Yes. The rooms are just too exotic, both in beddings, fixtures and fittings and other ancillary facilities expected to make a guest’s stay memorable. T-Exclusive Hotel, located at Bode Wasinmi Junction, Orita Basorun, Ibadan, Oyo State, is a sheer manifestation of the need to provide a high class luxury for those guests who earnestly seek a home away from home.

Whoever conceived the idea of the hotel definitely is a man of high taste with penchant for exotic luxury, excellent style and class.
For all these attributes make testimonies in the whole premises of the hotel. Is it the work of glass covering the buildings, which makes it the cynosure of all eyes? Or should one waste time on the quality of the POP that covered the ceiling or the Italian marble and ceramics tiles that wrapped the floor of the Inn? Should one talk about the Victorian blinds and the exquisite furnitures, which are planted in the lobby, lounges and rooms?

The fact is that everything about T-Exclusive Inn speaks of taste, style and class. Making all these more relevant is the sense of duty and warm personal relationship exhibited by its staffers, who respond to guests promptly with every sense of decency. The 30 rooms are well apportioned with decent convenience where one can even relax, read and think, forgetting that he is in a toilet! It is one full inn, which caters for hospitality demands.

The conference hall, which can conveniently accommodate 200 guests is glorious. It is not only well packaged but fitted with all the necessary equipment that can enable successful conferences, seminars and social events.

The restaurant is serviced by an internationally trained chef who is groomed in the art of churning out both local and intercontinental cuisines, while the bar smells of splendour with its rack full of beer, exotic drinks, brandy, whisky and good smell. To cap it all, T-Exclusive has a Love Garden which encompasses a swimming pool, an out-door bar, a game arena, a wellness centre and well equipped gym. One thing that will impress you most apart from the facilities and services of this inn is the management sense of security.

Apart from the regular police officers, one cannot but notice the presence of eagle eyed private security personnel who keep both eye on the premises and guests. According to Adewale Gbadamosi, the General Manager, T-Exclusive Inn, “We are set out to cater exclusively for that discerning guest who do not only wants just a hotel to sleep, but looks for that hotel which offers him the best of comfort, luxury and sleep in an environment devoid of noise and distraction with absolute confidence of security.”

The former Marketing Manager of Lafia Hotel, Ibadan said that “Here at T-Exclusive, our service is just to do everything humanly possibleto satisfy our guests and give them the real value for their hard earned money. And the kinds of services we offer here are not obtainable anywhere in Oyo State. And if you think I am boasting, just have a try on us and you will thank God for the attempt. We are waiting for you.”

New Olusi promises cultural-tourism revolution

THE new Olusi of Usi-Ekiti in Ido-Osi Local Government Area, Ekiti State, Oba Adedayo George Akande, Rokoyo II has assured tourism buffs in Nigeria and the world of the emergence of a new tourists destination in Ekiti State.

His Royal Majesty, George Akande speaking with newsmen briefly after his enthronement gave thanks to Almighty God for His mercy over him and Usi town and begged God to bless him with the Solomonic wisdom to rule over his people.

Oba Akande assured his people of a new vista and promised to be fair, just and ensure equity in whatever he do. “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who has made today possible in my life and the life of good people of Usi-Ekiti, our story in this town will henceforth be the story of divine favour, development, success and progress hitherto unheard of in the state. Usi as a town is blessed. All Usians home and abroad will be divinely favoured, and our story will be of joy as the glory of our Lord will shine in us.”

Oba Akande, a precision engineer by profession promised to elevate Usi and do all things godly possible to ensure that Usi and its indigenes remain the cynosure of all eyes and envy of other towns in Ekiti. Historically Usi has never lacked behind in Western region and Ekiti State. This is a town of enviable historical credentials in religion, politics, commerce and education. By the grace of God, I will not only sustain but enhance these virtues and tap them for the glory of my town.

Oba Akande disclosed that one of his top priority objectives was to ensure that Usi becomes a tourists destination in Ekiti State. “Usi is a town in Ekiti specially founded and blessed by God with rich history which can be translated to sustainable realities of improving the town. “Religiously, it is in the record that the first Catholic Mass ever held in the whole of Ekiti land (province) was held in Usi Ekiti, that spot where the mass was held by the first catholic (white) priest is being reserved and protected by the Catholic church today in Usi.

“Also, Usi is one of the very few towns that promptly accepted the Anglican Communion in the whole of Ekiti State, then christened Ekiti Oke. "Traditionally too, without making any fetish colouration, Usi is the birth place of Orunmila, the promoter of Ifa society “Educationally, Usi was also one of the few towns in the whole of the then western region where a pupil could complete primary education from Standard I - IV then. Most towns with primary schools had only standard I - V. Only Usi was fortunate to have a complete school. Hence most of the early educated people in Ekiti State had to come to Usi to finish up their primary education.

Kabiyesi promised to enhance all these historical realities to benefit and empower his people. “All these historical realities would be turned into empowered agents for my people. We shall ensure cultural tourism revolution in Usi to the delight of tourism world and betterment of my people.”
